Comicon 2005 - For Someone Who Doesn't Read Comics?
Well sort of. I used to buy comics years ago. I used to be the weekly guy. Go to the local comic shop and grab a handful of comics from my pull list then race home and read them. For whatever reason this activity seemed to stop. Why? Mostly because my favorite creators were either leaving the industry or just finishing up series and didn't look like they would be on anything for a while. I did notice a lack of quality books coming out as well. Eventually purchasing comic books just seemed to fade away.
So then why on earth do you still go to the Comic Con? There's three simple answers to that question.

Siggraph 2005 - The Quick 1 Day Tour
With an anticipated total attendance of over 25,000, over 230 companies exhibiting, George Lucas as Keynote Speaker, and an impressive list of events and activities, this year’s conference was poised to impress. So why is it that I didn't dive into the electronic mayhem with excitement and joy?.

FEATURED ARTIST - Jalil Sadool - Rhythm & Hues' Character Animator
Jalil Sadool spent his first eighteen years on the small island of Mauritius (off the eastern coast of Madagascar). Life with an Artist mom and Mathematician Dad, proved to be quite an interesting mélange. Definitely a true battle between the left and right side of the cranium. Jalil loved the sciences and the arts equally but he was no genius, and there was space for only one to fully evolve.

GAME REVIEW - Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater (PS2)
The third installment in Konami's series (well 3rd in the series that most people remember) makes a return to the interesting but not crazy story and gameplay that most MGS fans remember. Metal Gear Solid 3 has a story on par with Metal Gear Solid 1 in terms of characters, twists, turns, and interesting plot. Less cinematics, more gameplay, easier story to follow then the stroke inducing story of Metal Gear Solid 2. Now, this isn’t to say that Metal Gear Solid 3 doesn’t have cinematics. On the contrary, there are plenty of cinematic points but they don’t interfere with the flow of the game as in it predecessor. But enough about past games and the old. Let’s talk about the new. Let’s talk about Metal Gear Solid 3.
