THESCRATCHPOST, came-about as a means to help artists working in film keep a finger on the pulse of the job market. Viviana Palacios, aka Shadoukat invented the site under the name 'Ask Dr. Clam' where she'd post contact information of the dozens of companies she'd contact while looking for her next gig. The idea of the site came-about by the level of frustration looking for a job, in an already competitive field, and that "no one deserves the stress and endless circles searching, make it easy for everyone".

Lance Powell joined her in late 1997 moving the site from Ask Dr. Clam, to The Job Squad - adding the fun of the characters, as well as the Interactive Company listings. He also helped design and oversee the beginnings of The Scratchpost, and was partner from 1999-2002

Siteography:
1997 Ask Dr. Clam
1998 The Job Squad
2000 The Scratchpost
